About myCardioGuard® Heart Screen™
Screening Process

Why is myCardioGuard® Heart Screen™ Different?
myCardioGuard is focused specifically on heart disease. Our patented method to detect heart disease at its earliest gives you the time you need to stop and even reverse heart disease should it be detected in you. Other similar tests are not as accurate, are not scientifically backed by research, and do not have the years of evidence-based, medical and clinical use on patients like myCardioGuard has. Only myCardioGuard has the expertise, equipment, process, and knowledge to detect heart disease at its earliest stage.
I don’t have symptoms. Why screen for CVD now?
The primary cause of fatal illness and death in men and women over the age of 30 is cardiovascular disease (CVD).
The chart below illustrates the need for early intervention even in people under 40. The prevalence of heart failure increases dramatically after age 40. It is evident that CVD can’t be stopped by only treating people who already have CVD; instead, it is important to develop a population-level strategy to prevent the lifetime risk of CVD for the largest number of “at risk” individuals. We offer our screening tools to reduce the risk for CVD.

No. You do not need to fast for your Heart Screen™.
Yes. Your Heart Screen™ is completely non-invasive.
For all of our services, we use state-of-the-art equipment and technologies that are standard in medical practices throughout the world. All of our equipment is FDA approved.
All of our personnel have the required certifications, education, and experience to administer the services. They also undergo training on all of our processes, procedures, and equipment .
For our Heart Screen™, you can arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment in order to fill out the necessary forms.
For our Heart Screen™, in our most recent clinical studies, we have zero false positives and very limited false negatives – very good results. This is extremely accurate compared to most other medical tests.
We adhere to strict protocols, procedures, and processes to ensure accuracy. We also hire qualified staff and train them extensively to administer the tests.
We encourage couples, friends, and adult family members to be tested together. To go through the testing together means greater understanding of your heart health. It is helpful to have another set of “ears” to listen to the information that is provided during the tests.
Our early detection program is developed for those individuals who do not have, or do not believe they have, cardiac symptoms (primary detection) but who are concerned that they may have or could develop cardiovascular disease. Heart Screen™ results that require immediate attention are usually identified during your visit and will be communicated to you immediately.
If your detection plan includes a recommendation for additional evaluation you will need to choose a provider to help you implement your detection plan. You can choose to follow with your family physician/provider or we can provide you with a referral to an appropriate primary physician or specialist.
About Heart Disease:
The most common cause of heart disease is coronary artery disease (CAD), or atherosclerosis, which is a blocked or narrowed coronary artery that supplies the heart with blood. This contributes to 71% of all heart disease deaths.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, more than diabetes, AIDS and ALL cancers combined.
This year nearly one million Americans will have a heart attack; nearly half of them will occur without prior symptoms or warning signs.
Heart disease begins at the microscopic level where cellular changes begin to take place on the inner cells of arterial walls; these are called endothelial cells. The arterial wall then thickens eventually leading to a buildup of fatty plaque deposits within the arterial wall. The plaques that have built up in the arteries can enlarge and rupture resulting in complete arterial occlusion (blockage of the artery).
Stress, heavy exertion or arterial wall instability can result in plaque rupture. The body sees this burst plaque and, in the same way it would heal a cut finger, mounts an inflammatory response. The combination of the plaque rupture and the inflammatory response (coronary thrombus) may block off the already narrow artery causing complete occlusion and a heart attack.
In the case of stroke, an arterial thrombus can also break away (embolize) and lodge downstream in the artery blocking blood supply to a portion of the brain resulting in a stroke.
First, get tested at myCardioGuard to determine if you have early heart disease or not. Early detection allows you to stop or reverse heart disease far faster and less expensively than if you wait than waiting for symptoms to develop or a heart attack to occur.
Generally, a healthy lifestyle will prevent heart disease in most people. This means eating more fruits and vegetables, increasing your physical activity, stop smoking, moderate or eliminate your alcohol intake, minimize stress, and adhere to your medications.
About early Heart Disease detection:
Historically heart disease has been difficult to detect (50% of heart victims have normal cholesterol and normal blood pressure readings). With the patented myCardioGuard Heart Screen™ we can now identify heart disease at the earliest known detection. Scientifically proven and backed by decades of research, our method can help give you peace of mind, while also setting the stage to help you prevent, stop, and reverse heart disease progression.

Our tests are for adults aged 18-80. If you have disease markers and/or risk factors of heart disease, we recommend you get evaluated annually.
myCardioGuard started out in a major medical research institutions cardiovascular disease program, which opened more than a dozen years ago.
Your doctor is a valuable partner in regards to heart disease detection, as well as many other heart disease detection services. Feel free to ask your doctor about our services.
Many doctors recommend early detection, as they recognize that screening can be an important complement to an individual’s care. We can help you get the heart disease information you and your physician need to work toward improving your heart health.
Yes, the myCardioGuard Heart Screen™ can be completed in a clinic as part of a routine physical. myCardioGuard is working with various healthcare organizations and physicians to bring this type of preventive test as part of your annual physical.
